Stage One of Queensland’s first light rail system is now under construction. GoldLinQ is delivering and operating the 13-kilometre dedicated light rail corridor from Griffith University to Broadbeach, passing through the key activity centres of Southport and Surfers Paradise.

Constructing a light rail system to link fast growing commercial, retail and recreational centres in Australia’s sixth largest city is going to be complex. The appropriate approvals, traffic management planning and proactive liaison with the community and stakeholders will facilitate construction works.

GoldLinQ is committed to minimising the impacts of construction where possible and will continue to provide advanced notification of work activities.

GoldLinQ’s construction program accommodates key major events in the Gold Coast calendar, by limiting work around the event location during that time.
